Description

Mellbury is a house that was formerly a house and shop, built around 1830. It is finished in stucco and features a hipped slate roof with red brick chimneystacks. The building is L-shaped and has two storeys with three windows. The corners of the building are accentuated with end quoins. On the first floor, there is a central round-headed window that has a hood moulding decorated with masks and features marginal glazing with coloured glass. The other windows are casements, also with marginal glazing and dripstands that have floriate stops. The central doorway is round-headed, with a dripstone supported by corbel heads, a decorated fanlight, and a modern double door with glazed panels. On the right side, there is an early 20th-century addition that features a stuccoed shopfront with a pediment, a slate roof, and panelled risers.
