Description

The monument to Frederic Vilmet is located at John the Baptist Church in Niton and Whitwell. This tomb chest, dating from around 1875, features an elaborate design with open pedimented ends and gables that rise through them. It is set within a railed square enclosure that includes floriated arches, spikes, and stone bases. Frederic Vilmet was the son of George IV's French chef.
