Description
45 Union Street is a building dating from around 1830 to 1840. It stands three storeys tall and is faced with stucco. The roof is a low, bitch hipped slate design with an eaves cornice. The second floor features one recessed sash window without glazing bars and a block sill. The first floor has a canted bay window similar to that of No. 44, with the base of the apron featuring a cornice that extends from the shop front. The ground floor has a mid-19th century shop front with fluted pilasters and a frieze, while a blind case occupies the lower part of the cornice, although the upper mouldings are still visible. Nos 44 to 53 form a cohesive group.
