Description

47 and 48 Union Street is a building dating from around 1830 to 1840. It is a three-storey structure that is cement rendered with coursing. The roof is a low pitch hipped slate roof with an eaves cornice. The building features two windows: on the second floor, there is a recessed sash window with block sills and no glazing bars. The first floor has Victorian canted bay windows, each with three lights and chamfered edges to the frames, along with a frieze and dentil cornice. The ground floor has a modern shop front. Nos 44 to 53 Union Street form a group with this building.
