Description

This is a double headstone commemorating William and Mary Russel, dating from around 1748 and 1753. It is located approximately 5 meters north of the north chapel at the Church of St Peter in Shorwell. The headstone features curved tops, with the left side displaying a wreathed skull and the right side a cherub's head, along with a flaming heart positioned between them. The sides of the headstone are adorned with ovolo moulding.
