Description
The Russell Monument and two other headstones are located in the churchyard of the Church of St. Mary, approximately 18 metres south of the west end of the nave. These three headstones and their matching footstones date from the late 18th century and commemorate the Russell family. They are made of stone and feature carved designs. The two headstones on the left have carved seraphim and a head on either side, with matching footstones that include a seraphim and an inscription on the far left, and an inscription on the second left; both are eroded. On the right, there is a plain headstone inscribed to Ann Russell, who died in 1777, along with a matching footstone inscribed "A.R. 1777".
