Description
Church House is a house dating from the 17th century, which was refronted and extended in the 18th century. The building features a mix of painted brick, painted roughcast, and brick, topped with an old tile gabled roof that is hipped at the right end. It has a rectangular plan with a central gable facing the road and extensions at the rear. The house is two storeys high with attics and has chimneys on the right and at the rear, both fitted with clay pots. There are two small gabled roof dormers facing the road and 20th-century leaded casement windows.
The road-facing front has dentilled eaves and a full-height projecting gabled entry porch at the centre. Above the plain door, which has a small glazed panel, is a 2-light window. To the left of the porch, there are two 2-light casements on the first floor, and on the ground floor, there is one 2-light casement and one double sash window with glazing bars under a cambered head. To the right of the gable, there is one bay of 2-light windows, and in a slightly projecting section to the right, there is one 2-light window on both floors, along with a plain entry door on the left, which is now disused, and has a plain flat hood above it.
