Description
Lee Farmhouse is a late 18th-century farmhouse that has been altered in the mid-20th century and is now used as a house. It is constructed of brick and features an old tile hipped roof. The building has a square plan with a large extension on the west side and stands two storeys high. There are two chimneys topped with clay pots.
The entrance on the east front is symmetrical and consists of three bays. It has sash windows with glazing bars, with the first-floor windows featuring marginal glazing and gauged brick heads. The entrance door, which is now disused, is a six-panel fielded door with the top two panels glazed, complemented by an arched fanlight and a moulded wooden architrave.
The north side of the farmhouse is irregular and also features sash windows with glazing bars and gauged brick heads. There is a 20th-century part-glazed entrance door set within a 20th-century pedimented enclosed porch that includes return lights. A date panel indicating the year 1793 is located on the south front. The early 20th-century extension on the west, known as Lee End, is noted as being of no special interest.
