Description

Traddles is a house, now divided into two houses, dating from the early 17th century, with alterations and extensions made in the early to mid 20th century. The building is constructed of brick and features an old tile gabled roof. Originally rectangular in plan, it has become irregular, with three gables facing the road; the northernmost gable is a 20th-century extension designed in a similar style. There is a smaller gabled extension at the rear of No. 1. The structure is part two storeys and part two storeys with an attic.

A large chimney is located near the center of the building, featuring four shafts with offset heads and ornamental clay pots, along with another chimney at the rear. The road-facing front displays three gables, each supported by two brick pilasters, and a string course running above the ground and first-floor windows. The central gable contains a small attic window, while the first floor has four leaded casement windows, two with two lights and two with three lights. The ground floor mirrors this with three similar windows, although they are taller. The entrance features two heavy oak doors that are studded.

On the left (south) front, there is a catslide roof on the right, which includes a 20th-century squint bay window with leaded casements. The left gable has a string course above the ground-floor windows. On the first floor, there are two leaded casement windows, with the left window having a segmental head. The ground floor features a similar window on the right, along with a 20th-century squint bay and a half-glazed door on the left.
