18/8 Conference centre to Ye Olde Bell Hotel

Barn, now conference centre. Late C17, altered and refurbished 1985. Timber frame, weatherboarded. Old tile gabled roof. Rectangular plan of 5 framed bays with centre midstrey facing east. Large pair of ledged, braced, framed and plank doors retained on former wagon entry with large glazed entry screen behind. Interior: timber frame completely exposed. Queen post roof trusses, clasped purlins and jowled posts. On the west a C20 narrow one-storey link block to a large C20 extension of no special interest.
