Description
The Russell Monument is an early 19th-century table tomb located 20 metres south-west of the Parish Church of St Peter, in the churchyard. It is made of stone and features reeded pilaster corners, a moulded top block, and a base. The long sides have oval panels with carved cherubs in the spandrels. The inscription reads, "Beneath are deposited the mortal Remains of William Henry Randall Russell, who departed this life November the 17th 1831, aged 13 months," along with two lines of memorial verse. There is an additional inscription for Randall Russell on the east side.
