Description
The Randall monument is a pedestal tomb located in the churchyard, approximately 1 metre northeast of the monument to Hannah Bradly, south of the Church of St. John. It dates from 1782 and is made of sandstone. The tomb features round, richly moulded ends, with the western end displaying a funereal urn flanked by winged cherubs. There are raised moulded oval inscription panels on the north and south sides, adorned with paterae in the spandrels. The top has a moulded cornice and a cyma moulded base plinth, culminating in a square-based domical-coped top. The north side is inscribed with the name WILLIAM RANDALL, who died in 1782.
