Description
No 2 is a former pair of houses that has been converted into a single detached house, dating from the 17th century. The building is timber-framed with brick chimneys and has a 20th-century concrete tile roof. It is two storeys high and consists of a two-room range, with an additional two-storey wing that creates a T-shaped plan. There are single-storey outbuildings attached to the north and west ends.
On the south side, there is a gable end to the right and a shorter range to the left. The framing is small and scattered with windows, most of which have been altered. There is a straight brace supporting the framing, and the left gable end above the outbuilding is made of brick, featuring a reduced large brick chimney stack. A cambered arched casement is present in the brick outbuilding to the left.
The north side has a gable end to the left, constructed partly of lias stone, with a large projecting brick chimney stack and two diagonal brick shafts. An attached brick outbuilding features cambered headed casements and a plank door. The east side is small-framed with altered scattered windows, all of which are framed-up casements, and it has a rendered plinth.
