Description

UNION STREET 1. 1577 (East Side) No 15 SZ 5992 2/8 II GV

Circa 1840. Probably originally the entrance to an arcade or market. Con- sists of a portico of four Corinthian columns, the outer ones engaged with pediment above and cemented parapet with balustrade surmounted by four urns. Slate roof, The building is now a shop, but the shop front is slightly set back behind the columns.

Nos 1 to 13 (consec) and No 15 form a group. -------------------------------------------
