Description

This is a large building dating from the early 19th century, prominently situated on Union Street. It is three storeys high and originally had three windows. The exterior is stuccoed and features a cornice and parapet. The windows are set within architrave surrounds; those on the first floor have cornices supported by consoles. The central window on the first floor is a particularly handsome, flattened bow window with three lights, pilasters between the lights, a cornice, and a pediment above. Intact glazing bars are visible above the ground floor. The ground floor has a modern shopfront, which is not detrimental to the building's overall character. Numbers 1 to 12 (consecutively) and number 15 form a visual grouping.
