Description
This building, at numbers 67 and 68 Union Street, dates from around 1830 to 1840. It is a three-storey structure with a stucco facade. Coupled Doric pilasters mark the first and second floors. A cornice and crested parapet tops the building. The second floor has three windows with recessed sash windows, retaining their original glazing bars and block sills, and architrave surrounds. The first floor features flat-fronted bows with three-light sash windows, also with glazing bars. The Doric pilasters of the first floor extend to a slightly projecting frieze and cornice. The centre window has a recessed sash window with glazing bars, an architrave surround and a cornice supported on consoles. Modern shop fronts have been fitted.
