Description
No. 34 Frenchgate is a mid-18th century building that stands three storeys tall. It features a roughcast exterior with a stone plinth and a slate roof. The building has two windows with moulded frames that do not have glazing bars. The entrance consists of a six-panel door set within a projecting porch supported by Ionic columns. The porch has a guilloche pattern frieze and an end modillion cornice. Above the door is a semi-circular fanlight adorned with Gothic tracery, and access is provided by three stone steps. No. 34 is part of a group that includes Nos. 30 to 36 (even).
