Description

61 Frenchgate is a small two-storey cottage dating from the early 18th century. It has a rough-rendered exterior and a stone slate roof, featuring two brick chimneys at the gable ends. The front has two windows, each with three lights and modern bottle-glass casements. There are also two modern six-panel doors, one of which has glass. Inside, the cottage includes reproduction woodwork created by Thomson of Kilburn. This building is now occupied together with No 59, and it is part of a group that includes Nos 59 to 75 (odd) and Nos 79 to 83 (odd).
