Description

Minden House, located at 32 Frenchgate, dates from around 1759. This three-storey building is constructed of coursed stone and features chamfered quoins and a slate roof. A stone band runs below the first floor. The façade includes three windows set in moulded stone frames, which do not have glazing bars. A projecting ashlar porch is supported by Doric columns and features a triglyph frieze and a pediment adorned with mutules. The entrance door consists of six panels and is topped by a radiating semi-circular fanlight. Minden House is part of a group that includes Nos 30 to 36 (even).
