Description
30 Frenchgate is a mid-18th century building that stands two storeys tall. It is constructed of coursed rubble with stone quoins, although it has been rough rendered. The roof is slate and features two gabled dormers. A plain stone eaves cornice runs along the top. On the upper floor, there are two windows that are hung sashes with glazing bars. The ground floor has one plain window and one bowed window, both with glazing bars. A recessed six-panel door with a stone frame and a small hood is accessed by steps. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 30 to 36 (even).
