Description
No. 1 Prince Albert Street is a corner house in a terrace, built around 1842 at the same time as Nos 2-8 Prince Albert Street. The building is constructed of stucco and features a parapeted roof. It has four storeys above a basement and a three-window range with a two-window range on the return. The corner is curved and rebated for a sign. The ground floor has been restored in a 19th-century design, along with Nos 2-8. There are storey bands between all floors, and all windows have architraves and projecting sills, with flat arched openings. The return features a pair of two-storey, canted bays with triple windows. An entablature with a projecting cornice is present at the third floor. The interior has not been inspected. The building is connected to No. 2 on its upper floors and is noted for its group value.
