Description
This is a lamp post located south of Nos. 6 and 7 College Place in Brighton. It dates from the late 19th century or early 20th century and is made of cast iron and another metal. The lamp post features a cylindrical base with a lockable compartment marked "BLEECO." It has a fluted, tapering shaft that is topped with a basket capital. Above the capital, there is a maintenance yoke and a swan-necked, tubular bracket that is supported by a metal fillet shaped like a tendril. The lamp post also includes a shallow dish reflector.
