Description
This is a lamp post located in front of numbers 16 and 17 on Charlotte Street in Brighton. It dates from the late 19th century or early 20th century and is made of cast iron and another metal. The lamp post features a cylindrical base with a lockable compartment marked "BLEECO." It has a fluted, tapering shaft that is topped by a basket capital. Above the capital, there is a maintenance yoke and a swan-necked, tubular bracket that is supported by a metal fillet shaped like a tendril. The lamp also includes a shallow dish reflector.
