Description
This late 19th or early 20th century electric lamp post stands in front of number 10 Arundel Place, Brighton. It is constructed from cast iron and another metal. The lamp post features a cylindrical base with a lockable compartment marked “BLEECO”. Above the base is a fluted, tapering shaft culminating in a basket capital. A maintenance yoke is present. A swan-necked bracket with a tubular design extends above the capital and is braced by a metal fillet shaped like a tendril. Finally, a shallow dish reflector completes the structure.
