Description

Karibu and Tabora are two dwellings that were originally a farmhouse, dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. Karibu features cobbles with brick dressings and render, topped with a slate roof. The building is two storeys high and has three windows, presenting a double-fronted appearance. It has brick quoins and steps leading up to a flat-arched entrance, which is adorned with brick dressings, a moulded architrave, and a panelled door with four glazed upper panels, all sheltered by a bracketed canopy. The windows are slightly cambered and also have brick dressings. The building has end stacks and rendered returns, along with a rendered single-storey extension to the north.

Tabora, the second house, has two gabled wings extending to the west, with the southernmost being lower and now forming the front of Tabora. This part is constructed of flint with brick dressings and has a tiled roof. It is also two storeys high and features two windows. The west side has brick quoins, a flat-arched entrance, a cambered-arched window to the left, and a flat-arched window to the right. The first-floor windows are flat-arched, with the left window having a stucco architrave over brick quoins. There are end stacks and a single-storey slated extension to the west. The interior has not been inspected.
