Description

49 Old London Road is a building in Brighton that was originally stables for No. 51 Southdown House. It dates from the 18th century but has been largely altered in the 20th century. The exterior features cobbles with brick dressings and a tiled roof. The building is two storeys high with four windows. It has yellow brick quoins and red brick dressings around the entrance and windows, which are all flat-arched. The roof is hipped, and there is a stack towards the east end of the ridge. The interior has not been inspected. This building is included for its group value with the nearby Southdown House.
