Description
Tarrants Farmhouse, now divided into two dwellings, dates from the late 17th century with mid and late 19th-century alterations. The building features brick walls in Flemish bond, a cemented plinth, and rubbed flat arches over the ground-floor openings, which have straight hoodmoulds above. The eaves are chamfered, and there are two buttresses on the structure. The hipped tile roof complements the regular south elevation, which is two storeys high and has four windows. The windows are casements, with the ground floor showcasing mullion and transom windows, as well as a splayed bay on the east side. There are three plain doorways. The rear of the building has a catslide roof in the middle, flanked by later wings on either side.
