Description

Slab Cottage is a late 18th-century cottage located in Wellow on Slab Lane. It is constructed of painted brick and features a thatched roof. The building is two stories high and has two bays, with a lean-to on the left end. The entrance is a central door with six vertical panels arranged three above three, and it is sheltered by a yew bush porch that has a rectangular shape and a pointed archway, reaching up to the eaves. On either side of the door are two-light camber-head casement windows, and there are also two-light eyebrow dormers in the roof. The roof is finished with end stacks, and there is a door in the 19th-century lean-to that has a slate roof.
