Description
Cliveden Lodge is a lodge built in 1885, located on the east side of London Road in Brighton. It is constructed of brick and render, with a tiled roof. The building has two storeys and features gabled wings facing west, south, and east, each with a window. The entrance, which is flat-arched, is located in the south wing. All windows are flat-arched as well; the south wing includes a canted bay on the ground floor with a rendered gable that jetties over it, adorned with a trellis of ornamental woodwork, and has a waney edge to the bargeboards and a finial. The west wing has similar detailing but lacks the bay and jetty. The east wing features a plaster quatrefoil on the gable and has a late 20th-century extension on the ground floor. There are two ribbed and corniced brick chimney stacks. The interior has not been inspected.
