Description
Low Hatfield Grange Farmhouse is a house, likely originally two cottages, built in the late 18th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a slate roof. The building has two red brick gable stacks, a brick-coped left gable, and a kneeler. The eaves are decorated with dentils. The farmhouse is two storeys high and consists of five bays, with a first-floor band.
From left to right, the façade includes a single glazing bar sash window, a doorway with a flush ashlar surround, two glazing bar sashes, and a blocked doorway also with a flush ashlar surround. All ground floor windows have brick lintels that are smaller than the window openings. On the upper floor, there are three glazing bar Yorkshire sashes, along with a fixed glazing bar light above the doorway. The building features three tie plates. To the right, there is a two-storey, single-bay extension made of red brick and slate, which also has dentil eaves, a first-floor band, and a doorway.
