Description

Blacksmith's Cottage, located on Vicarage Lane in Rottingdean, is likely originally two cottages dating from the 18th century. The building features a combination of plaster and weatherboarding, with a tiled roof and brick stacks. It is two storeys high and has a two-window range. The entrance is flat-arched and is part of a 20th-century weatherboarded outshut. The windows are also flat-arched, with the first-floor windows having horizontal sliding sashes. The roof has two slightly raised hips running south, and the stacks at the east and west ends have been rebuilt. The interior has not been inspected.
