Description

Blacksmith’s Cottage is a 16th-century building, originally comprising three cottages and subsequently altered. It is timber-framed with brick infill and has a tile roof. The building is two storeys high. All of the windows are modern, featuring leaded lights within oak frames. The right-hand section includes a carriage entrance with tile-hanging above. The left-hand section has, on the first floor, three two-light casement windows, one three-light casement, and one smaller two-light casement. The ground floor features an old oak door with wrought iron furniture and an oak hood supported on brackets, along with a small two-light casement, two further two-light casements, and a shallow bowed window with four lights.
