Description

Blacksmith's Cottage is a late 17th-century cottage that was restored around 1980. It features a timber frame with brick noggin and a thatched roof, consisting of a single wall and a gable stack. The cottage is single storey with attics and has two bays of box framing with upper braces. The southeast front includes a plank door with a 20th-century window to the right, followed by a further two-light window. Above, there are two three-light eyebrow dormers. The interior is reputed to have exposed ceiling beams and purlins, along with wind braces in the roof. At the rear, there is a lean-to addition made of rubble stone.
