Description

Number 1 and St John's is an early 19th-century house, likely originally two houses. It is situated on Vicarage Lane, Rottingdean. The front is paved with cobbles and has painted brick dressings, with rendered returns to the right and flint now painted to the left. The roof is tiled, and brick quoins are visible at either end of the front elevation. The entrances are cambered-arched, and the ground-floor windows are also cambered-arched, while those on the first floor are flat-arched. The windows are largely original sash windows, though the second ground-floor window from the east and the westernmost window on the first floor have been replaced. Two ridge stacks are present. The interior has not been inspected.
