Description

No. 83 High Street, known as Hampton Cottage, is a single house that may have originally been built as two separate homes. It dates from the 18th century and features a plaster exterior with a roof made of tiles and slates. The building is single-storey with dormers in the attic. It has a flat-arched main entrance and a flat-arched secondary entrance on the north side. There are three segmental-arched windows fitted with horizontal sliding sashes and three dormers. A ridge stack is present, and there is a range to the west that runs parallel to High Street, topped with a slated and hipped roof. The interior has not been inspected.
