Description
Mulberry Cottage, coach-house, and the adjoining link block are located to the north-west of Ascot Place and date from the mid-18th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. The buildings are constructed from red brick in Flemish bond and feature an old tile hipped roof, with a cross gable on the adjoining link block.
The structure is arranged in an L-plan with two hipped projections at the rear. It consists of two storeys for Mulberry Cottage and one storey for the link block. A tall corniced chimney is situated on the southern roof slope, and there is a small rendered plinth. The west front, which faces the stable yard, has six bays; the second and fifth bays contain windows, while the others are blocked. On the ground floor, there are two windows on the right and two pairs of large half-glazed coach doors with small panes on the left. The single-storey link block has three windows on the left and a pair of half-glazed doors in the gable on the right. The Estate Office is adjacent to the link block on the left. Together, Mulberry Cottage and the link block form part of the east and north sides of a stone-paved and cobbled stable yard. The interior has not been inspected.
