Description

The Solly Family Tomb is located in St Mary's Churchyard, about 20 yards southwest of the tower in Walthamstow, E17. This chest tomb is dedicated to Edward Solly, who died in 1776. It features a rectangular plinth made of Portland stone, topped with a Coadestone sarcophagus that is supported by lionclaw feet. The tomb is adorned with lion heads and a guilloche design, and it includes engraved bronze plaques.
