Description

Petersham War Memorial is a granite memorial cross located in the churchyard of the Parish Church of St Peter, which is listed as Grade II*. The memorial features a tall, plain Latin cross made of granite, standing on a square plinth. The main dedication is carved on one side of the plinth, which reads: "TO GOD ALONE/ BE THE PRAISE/ IN GLORIOUS MEMORY/ OF THOSE WHO FELL IN/ THE GREAT WAR/ 1914 1919 1939 1945/ THEIR NAME LIVETH/ FOR EVERMORE." The names of those commemorated are inscribed on the other faces of the plinth.
