Description
This is a detached house located on Lauriston Road in Merton, built between 1892 and 1894. It was designed by Sir Ernest George. The house is constructed of brown brick with a hipped tiled roof extending to the eaves. It is two storeys high and six bays wide. A projecting glazed porch, with a hipped roof and turned balusters, is located in the third bay from the right, with a smaller, similar porch on the left side. Dentil cornices are present on both porches. The windows are square-headed with timber mullions and transoms, featuring leaded lights. A modillion eaves cornice sits above the first floor. The rear elevation is similar in design.
