Description

Nos 62 and 63 on Denmark Road are a pair of cottages built in the mid to late 19th century, attributed to the architect S S Teulon. They are constructed of brick with contrasting dressings and feature tall Welsh slate roofs topped with large brick stacks that have cornices. The cottages are two storeys high, with upper windows set in cross gables, and alternate gables that are half hipped. The windows are casements, some of which have been altered, and are set under segmental arches. The doors are boarded and feature decorative ironwork beneath pointed arches. There is also some decorative tumbled-in brickwork on the gable ends. These cottages are an integral part of a planned layout that includes Nos 47-60 and 64-73 on the same road.
