Description

1-4 Hogarth Close is a former stable and coachhouse building associated with Cowley Grove. It dates from the late 17th century or early 18th century and is positioned at right angles to the road. The building is constructed of painted brick and features a dentil cornice. It has a high-pitched hipped tiled roof and consists of two storeys with nine irregular bays. There is an off-centre pediment that includes a blocked round window. The façade has several round windows, some of which are blocked, along with some sash windows. Below the pediment, round arches flank a blocked lunette. The ground floor has modern shop and garage fronts.
