Description

Maygood's Farmhouse is a 17th century house located on the east side of High Street in Cowley. The building has two storeys and features five windows. It has a tiled roof with a central chimney. The walls are currently pebble-dashed above and smooth rendered below the ground floor cills, while a brick dentil cornice is visible. The house has sash windows with glazing bars set in box frames. The entrance includes a six-panel door, which is top glazed and is situated under an open pediment with a cornice that has a broken-back center supported by brackets. There is a lean-to extension on the right side and a modern garage extension on the left. At the rear, there is a gable-ended wing with a modern extension that is in keeping with the original design.
