Description
The former stables and coach-house, now used as garages and a flat, dates from the mid-18th century and has been altered. The front is constructed of red and vitreous brick, featuring a moulded plinth and eaves, while the end facing the road is partly made of coursed rubble stone. The building has a hipped roof covered with old tiles, a 20th-century brick chimney located to the right of the center, and a central wooden cupola. It is two storeys high and consists of five bays. The windows are barred sash types with slightly cambered heads; the ground floor windows have stone keyblocks and altered sills, while the first-floor windows are only half the height of those below. The outer bays on the ground floor have semi-circular brick arches with stone keyblocks and springers, with the right bay featuring garage doors and the left bay blocked with an additional sash window. The central entrance has an 8-panelled door framed by a rusticated wooden architrave with a keyblock and a pediment above. The cupola is topped with a small lead dome set on a hexagonal arcade of slender wooden columns, and it has a square base with a clock. The rear of the building has been altered.
