Description

This is a 17th-century house located in the village of Oving. The house is timber-framed with whitewashed brick infill and a blackened rubble stone plinth. It has a thatched roof, half-hipped to the right, with brick chimneys set into the gables and between the left bays. The house is 1½ storeys high and consists of three bays. There are three-light leaded casement windows, some retaining their original fittings. The first-floor windows are positioned irregularly; the leftmost window is below the eaves, the central window is within the thatch, and the rightmost window is within a gabled dormer with a tiled surround. A 20th-century door is situated between the right bays. An outbuilding attached to the right is constructed of whitewashed rubble stone and has a tiled roof, featuring a 20th-century door. The interior features chamfered spine beams, some with run-out stops, and curved braces.
