Description
Green Cottage and Greenside are two adjoining buildings from the 18th century located on the south side of Uxbridge Road in Hillingdon. The central block is two stories high and features two windows, constructed of stock brick with a later added parapet and a hipped tiled roof. Flanking this central block are two additional two-story wings from the early to mid-19th century. Greenside is the older section, which includes the right wing, while Green Cottage is the set-back left wing. The roofs of the wings are slated. In the older part, the first-floor windows have been replaced with modern casements, while the other windows are all replaced sashes with glazing bars. Additionally, there is one small modern window that has been inserted to the right of the door. Both buildings have four-panel doors, with the door of Greenside situated beneath a tiled hood.
