Description
Glenthorne is a mid to late 18th century house that stands two storeys high and features three bays. It has a tiled roof with chimneys at both ends. The brick exterior is now covered in pebbledash but retains a dentil cornice. The house has sash windows with glazing bars set in exposed moulded frames. Notably, there is an early 19th century canted oriel window at the centre of the first floor, and a late 19th century square bay window on the right side of the ground floor. The entrance features a six-panel door with a rectangular fanlight, flanked by pilasters. Some windows have external louvred shutters. Glenthorne is part of a group that includes Perryfield, Grenedehar, The Firs, Acacia House, Acacia Cottage, Highfield Cottage, and the former Magnolia House.
