Description
Highfield Cottage is a house located on the north-east side of Uxbridge Road in Hillingdon. It dates back to the early 18th century and may have been built over an earlier structure. The cottage is attached to the right side of The Firs and Acacia House. It has two storeys and a loft, with a gable-ended tiled roof. The building is primarily constructed of painted brick, with rendered brick on the left side.
The left section features two window ranges with early 19th-century style windows, while the right section has three windows that follow an 18th-century design. There is a 20th-century door with a 20th-century window above it. The right-hand side also shows remnants of a brick storey band.
Highfield Cottage is part of a group that includes Glenthorne, Perryfield, Grenedehar, The Firs, Acacia House, and the former Magnolia House.
