Description
1 The Green is a building that was originally two dwellings and is now a house. It consists of two sections: the left side dates from the late 17th century, while the right side is from the early 18th century. The building was remodeled in the late 19th century. The front is roughcast, and the left side wall is made of colourwashed limestone rubble. It has a gabled thatch roof with brick stacks at the ridge and the right end. The left section is two stories high with a two-window range, featuring a central plank door, a square bay to the right, and late 19th-century casement windows. The right section is one story with an attic and has a two-window range, a central half-glazed door, and late 19th-century casements. There is a one-story rear wing from the 18th century made of similar materials, along with an 18th-century tiled outshut at the rear left. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
