Description
The Red Lion Public House is a building that originally dates from the 15th or 16th century and has been remodelled in the 18th and 20th centuries. It features a cruck frame and is finished with roughcast. The roof is gabled and half-hipped, covered with old tiles, and has brick stacks at the ends and along the ridge. The original layout of the building is not known. It stands two storeys high with a four-window range. There are segmental arches above a 20th-century door and casement windows, with additional 20th-century casements on the first floor. Inside, there is a full cruck blade to the left of the door, a chamfered beam to the left, and a fragment of framing in the left gable wall. The building is included for its group value.
