Description
This is a house located at 113 High Street, dating from the early 16th century and remodeled in the late 16th to early 17th century. Originally timber-framed, the house is rendered, with some timber framing exposed in the top right corner. It features a gabled thatched roof, with an external stack made of colourwashed stone finished in brick on the left end, and a later inserted ridge stack on the right. The layout consists of a parlour to the left and a two-bay open hall to the right. The house has one storey and an attic, with a two-window range. There is a 20th-century plank door to the right, and timber lintels above 20th-century casement windows, as well as half-dormer casements. At the rear right, there is an outshut. Inside, the house includes chamfered and stopped beams and open fireplaces. The roof features a collar truss on the left and an arch-braced collar truss on the right.
